The City of Berkeley performs electronic plan review. Initial submittal of plans and other construction documents, in PDF format, must be completed in person at the Permit Service Center. Plans and supporting documents in response to plan review comments may be submitted through this online portal.

To Schedule an Inspection
- Search for a Permit below, then click, "Record Info." Select, "Inspections," and click "Schedule or Request an Inspection." View step by step Instructions.

To view Permit processing status
- Search for a Permit below then click, "Record Info" and select "Processing Status." View step by step Instructions.
To upload revised or additional documents to an existing Permit application under plan check review
- Log in and find the Permit on your Records list.
- Click, "Record Info," and select "Attachments." Use the, "Add," button to upload your documents and click, "Save," to complete. View step by step Instruction.
